Carolyn A. Ramp, LPC, NCC, ACS, CPCS
As the senior therapist on staff, my primary position is the oversight of the therapeutic services we offer at RESOLUTION. With over 40 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families, I am able to offer consultation and supervision of all therapeutic services offered.
My Masters Degree in Counseling was obtained at Augusta College, and my Specialist Degree was completed at Georgia Southern University. I am nationally certified and an Approved Clinical Supervisor with the National Board for Certified Counselors. I am also a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor with the state of Georgia.
Once a therapist has obtained the appropriate graduate education, the therapist must complete a three year residency under the supervision of an Approved Clinical Supervisor. Once this is completed, the therapist can become fully licensed by the state.
One part of my job is overseeing our therapists completing their residency to become fully licensed. Not only do I supervise our therapists, but I also offer supervision to those completing their residency in Counseling at other facilities in the community.
If you are interested in supervision, please call my office for a consultation. I am aware of the Georgia licensing laws and rules and able to help you manage the maze of getting through the requirements and paperwork to get your license.
Currently, I am not taking new patients and only see patients one day a week as my other duties require a majority of my time. My specialties have always been grief and loss, parenting, and divorce counseling. I am a Facilitator for Love and Logic, a parenting concept that raises children who are respectful and responsible and focuses on maintaining the relationship between the parents and the children. I offer workshops for parents, other professionals, therapists, and institutions upon request.
