Debbie Johnson, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years comprehensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of therapeutic settings including non-profit agencies, private practice groups, medical facilities, and military bases.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Public and Social Services in 1995 from Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Georgia. I received my Masters of Education in Professional Counseling from Augusta State University, Augusta, GA, in 2005, and received my professional counseling license in 2009. I am licensed in Georgia and Arizona.
My therapeutic approach begins by offering clients a safe place to process the difficulties and stressors in their personal and professional lives and to assist them with finding their own solutions. My specialties include working with clients living with depression, anxiety, and grief as well as families and care partners caring for a loved one living with dementia. I am also a facilitator for Prepare-Enrich, an evidence-based assessment tool that helps couples gain insight into the dynamics of their relationship by identifying areas of strength as well as areas of potential growth.
It is a great honor to walk with those brave kindred souls who strive to find meaning, fulfillment, and hope in their struggles.
"Courage doesn't happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life." Shannon L. Alder
